The difference.. Its all about what seperates the average from the good and the good from the outstanding. Wedding album design is something of a ‘black-art’. You only have to look at all the software out there to help tired and stressed photographers make their albums up in time.. templates where you drop images into the boxes and repeat page after page. Not bad.. but I never liked the feeling of having the boxes dictate the pictures. i like to design an album on blank pages with the pictures telling me how they shoukld be placed.. (metaphorically of course.. I really would be in trouble if my images started coming to life in front of me!!).
The ‘art’ of this isn’t easily mastered. Its an evolving process but at least with a blank page and a set of great images it is never going to become formulaic!!
The same images I’m posting from a really vibrant wedding last year are now in this years main sample album.. and form part of a main, a parent and a guest book set, including bags and boxes.. all themed on the wedding itself!
I’m pleased with it all. See Me Photography is evolving.. which is a good thing and I get better day by day.. which is also a good thing. Long may wedding photography continue to provide the creative inspiration it currently does!
